In reports online, Joan Collins is quoted as saying that older women who resort to plastic surgery look ‘ghastly.’ In the interview she said, “I quite like the way I look, I`m quite happy with the way I look and I really don`t want to change it.”

Every year, D Magazine conducts a poll among roughly 6,000 physicians to determine the two top doctors in different areas of medicine. In each case doctors are asked who they would send family members or loved ones to. Dr. Benjamin Bassichis was chosen as the top plastic surgeons in Dallas in the Best Doctor Poll. This is the fourth straight year that he has copped he award.

Thirty-three year old TV presenter, Ryan Seacrest in a recent interview published online noted that American Idol judge, Simon Cowell’s signature scowl may be no more. In fact, according to Seacrest, Cowell has used so much Botox, he has difficulty showing emotion. The comments were made during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Asked by the host if Cowell would be as ‘angry’ as he had been in earlier episodes Seacrest said, “You wouldn`t know because of all the shots.”

While the demand for cosmetic surgery procedures grow, there is increasing danger of patients falling prey to deceptive marketing. The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) is making it clear that these practices are unacceptable. Reports online quote the organization as being “increasingly concerned” about the methods used in promotions.

One of the big stories coming out of this year’s staging was the release of a new fragrance by Stephen Jones. Best known as a celebrity hat designer, Jones created his scent with the help of Commes des Garçons.
