The Almost Pain Free Bikini Wax Let’s face it; having our body hair ripped from the roots is no fun. And when you’re having hair ripped from a sensitive part of your body like the bikini area, it’s even worse! While no bikini wax can be pain free, there are a few things you can do to make the task at hand a little less painful. Ahh, what we do for the sake of beauty.

·    Numb the area if you want to lessen the pain. Many professional bikini waxers claim that numbing the bikini area just before waxing can dull the pain. Look for an antiseptic numbing spray or cream and apply it to the skin an hour before your bikini wax for less pain.

Take a pain reliever to ease the pain. About 30 minutes before you’re ready to wax the area, try taking a painkiller such as aspirin to ease the pain.   ·    Avoid getting wet down there. If you’re planning to workout anytime soon, you’re better off forgetting about it. Bikini waxing experts recommend you skip going to the gym or swimming for at least 24 hours prior to your wax. Then, apply a talc powder over the area, prior to applying the wax to lessen the pain. The talc will help reduce wetness and allow the wax to remove troublesome hairs easier. ·    Skip the sun if you want to avoid less pain. UV rays from the sun can cause the skin to be very sensitive before and after waxing. You’re better off staying in the shade for at least 24 hours prior to and after a bikini wax. ·    Schedule your bikini wax for a later date if you’re menstruating or pregnant, since the skin in that area can be extra sensitive. If you have your bikini waxed during either of those times, you’re more than likely to experience more pain than usual. ·    Have the waxing done in small patches. Even though it may take a lot longer, many women claim that they experience less pain when they remove the wax in smaller patches rather than all at once. ·    If you’re having a professional wax you, ask about a low temperature wax. A low temperature wax can cause less pain, leaving you less bitter after the hair is removed.   ·    Ask around for the best professional waxer in your area. More often than not, professional bikini waxers who have been doing their job for a while will know their job well and know how to lessen the pain during the procedure. If you don’t know of a good bikini waxer, ask your friends if they can recommend someone.

·    Finally, keep in mind if this is your first time in having your bikini waxed, you can almost guarantee that there will be a lot of pain. The more frequently you wax, the less pain there is, since the hair can be pulled out a lot easier and is less coarse.
