The StraightIf you’ve got straight hair, you’ve probably suffered from the bland strands that won’t hold a curl syndrome more than once in your lifetime. If so, you’re not alone. Whether you crave volume, wave or curls, here’s how to get just that.
For Volume: You will want to invest in large magnetic rollers. Roll the hair in sections at the top of the head, while it is dry and then spritz with hairspray. Next, Blow dry and carefully remove the rollers and finally brush to create the volume you crave.
For Waves: You’ll want to look for medium size hot rollers. First, apply a small amount of mousse to damp hair and then blow dry. Next, Roll sections of hair in the rollers and let cool. Finally, remove the rollers carefully and finger comb only to create beautiful waves.
For Curls: Look for sponge rollers to do the job right. Begin by misting already damp hair with a setting lotion and roll sections of hair in a spiral formation. Make sure that you roll hair up and down, not sideways. Allow hair to dry naturally or if you must, blow dry using a diffuser only. Once hair is dry, unroll and fluff the curls using your fingers only.
The Wave If you’re blessed or not so blessed with wavy hair, sometimes its just time for a change. Maybe you’d like to have sleek and straight hair or sexy curls, or maybe you’d just like to be frizz-free. Here’s how:
For Straightness: You’ll need Velcro rollers to get the job done. First, apply a smoothing serum to already damp hair and blow dry straight using a paddle brush. Next, roll hair into sections and blow-dry each individual roller. Allow rollers to cool and then carefully remove. Finally, smooth hair using a paddle brush.
For Frizz-Free: Look for medium Velcro rollers that have a metal core. Wrap sections of hair in the rollers and blow-dry to warm up rollers. Once the rollers are cool remove carefully, spritz hair with a shine spray and style using fingers only.
For Curls: You’ll want to look for small plastic rollers. Starting with damp hair, rub a small amount of styling gel into hair and then roll hair into sections. Allow the hair to naturally dry or if you don’t have the time, blow-dry hair using a diffuser. Once hair is dry, remove the rollers carefully and styling using your fingers only.
The CurlsIf you have curly hair then you probably already know how much of a hassle those curls can actually be. Whether you just want hassle free curls, waves or a whole new look altogether, here’s how:
For Straightness: You will want to invest in a set of extra big Velcro rollers. Start by applying a straightening lotion to damp hair and blow-dry. Next, roll sections of hair and blow dry on high heat at the lowest speed to prevent frizzy hair. Once hair has cooled, remove the rollers carefully and brush smooth.
For Waves: Choose large velvet covered hot rollers. Blow-dry hair straight and roll hair into sections. Allow the rollers to cool and then unroll carefully. Finally, run your fingers through your hair to style.
For Curls: Choose small sponge rollers to achieve hassle free sexy curls. Begin by spritzing a styling gel on damp hair. Next, roll hair into sections and allow to dry naturally or if you must, blow-dry using a diffuser. Once hair is dry, remove rollers carefully and style using your fingers only.
Finally, keep in mind that the smaller the rollers, the more curls you will get. The larger the roller, less curl, but more volume! Have Fun and remember practice makes perfect!
