Spalding Guardian,UK A Sutton Bridge woman shoplifted from two Spalding stores to feed her drug habit.Kelly-Marie Smith was arrested after being stopped by Wilkinson staff when she tried to leave without paying for seven air fresheners, worth £12.95. Spalding magistrates heard on Tuesday that shortly after her release, police stop-checked the car Smith was travelling in and found cosmetics, including shower cream and gel.
Smith told officers that she had taken the cosmetics, worth £47.96, from In-Store to sell on to feed her drug habit and was re-arrested. Smith (32), of Lime Street, who did not offer any mitigation, admitted two charges of shoplifting. Magistrates imposed a 12-month supervision order with a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement.
