Makeup trends for spring

Celebrity makeup artist Tia Dantzler has worked with notable talents in both the entertainment and political worlds -- and she has some advice for you!

Think BOLD, BRIGHT & STRONGThere's going to be a mix of colors and textures for the entire face! When you think of lips...think GLOSSY, WET, HIGH SHINE and LIQUIDITY. The colors -- Cherry Red, Bright Fuchsia, Coral and Orange. If you go bright on the lips, then make sure to tone down the eyes, so one feature doesn't compete with the other.

Lush lashes

When you hear "Lush" lashes, the first few words that come to mind are EXTRAVAGANT, SUMPTUOUS AND PLENTIFUL. There are so many ways to attain the lush lash look. A couple of options are through the use of individual false lashes or by using a full band of lashes.

Either way, you can achieve a look that adds intensity, volume and added length to your own lashes.

Two of my favorite mascaras that would be a perfect example of lush lashes are Dior Show Mascara and Yves St Laurent Aqua′resistant Mascara, both of which can be found at major department stores.

Bronzers and highlights

...to accent the focal points on the face.

Nice dewy, fresh breathable skin

Everyone desires fresh, breathable, dewy skin. To achieve that look of dewy skin, you would first need to exfoliate your skin to remove the top layer of dead skin cells to allow the new and healthier skin to rise to the surface.

Another suggestion would be to try a tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 which will even out the skin’s tone and texture without being too heavy. Laura Mercier and M.A.C. Cosmetics both have great tinted moisturizers to choose from.

Cream blush

...to make your cheeks appear to glow from within.

Many women go straight from the office to an evening out. The easiest way to make the transition from daytime to an evening look is to add a little intensity to your face. For example, you can add some eyeliner, layers of mascara and a bolder lip color to complete the overall look.
