Here's to happy feet PDF Print E-mail
Everyone from the tired housewife and the working professional to the metrosexual male wants to look and feel good. And what better way to relax than get a fancy pedicure. "There are two great reasons to give yourself a pedicure," says Kavita Bhateja of Nail Lounge, Santacruz, Mumbai .

"The first is to give your feet a well-deserved pampering and deep cleaning. The second is make your toes look sexy for those summer sandals. Today's fashion is highly focussed on feet accessories like toe rings. And to step out in style, a good pedicure is essential." Choco delight Salons today have replaced the plain old pedicure with a wide range of specialised ones. Chocolate pedicures are a rage.
They are perfect for those seeking a fat-free chocolate experience. Here's how it works - the feet are soaked and rubbed with a scrub that is clear in color but smells like a freshly baked chocolate cake. After that, a mixture that looks and smells of Hershey's finest is lathered on the feet and legs.

Hot towels are wrapped around the legs and feet. The chocolate is wiped away after 10 minutes. The feet are then covered with a chocolate smelling oil. This treat is priced at Rs 750 onwards.

Another specialised pedicure is the Raw Earth Pedicure. This one's for the ladies, and is definitely a cut above the neighbourhood parlour's bleach-will-do-the-trick cleansing ritual. A 45-minute procedure which begins with the feet being soaked and scrubbed with liquid foaming sea soak and raw earth foot deodouriser.

This is followed by a gruelling massage of the calves and feet, first with a sea-salt scrub, and later with sea-salt exfoliant crystals. Then, a cool peppermint marine mask is rubbed on the feet, and they are wrapped in foil for 10 minutes. A great way to relax.
