Just a few key accessories can pull together an outfit and take your look from ho-hum to va-va vroom..

Watches
Watches have displaced the handbag as the accessory to splurge on. And it seems a new style of watches is making a splash this season. Women are foregoing the typical dainty ladies watch in favour of chunkier mens' watches with larger dials and older styling.

Scarves
Tie a scarf around the straps of your bag to give it a new look, or to simply match your outfit. You can also use a scarf as a belt to add some colour to your outfit.

Shoes
Never underestimate the power of fabulous footwear to instantly transform and update any outfit. A great pair of shoes is the crowning touch which pulls the outfit together. Colourful footwear is in right now. Glossy peep toe heels in shocking pink, emerald green ballet flats or bright blue sneakers give even the dullest outfit an unexpected pop and twist.

Handbags
The 'now' handbag is the extremely big bag, most notably the oversized tote. Updated with rich cosmopolitan flair, this utilitarian hold-everything style of handbag is a winning fashion trend because it is chic as well as practical.

Though the big bag is the most popular trend, there are still tons of great looking smaller bags to choose from, which are large enough to hold a cellphone, wallet, makeup and other essentials.

Get a handbag or pouch of brocade tailored to match you formal Indian outfit. Attach a jhumka hoop on the bag to make it fancier.

Hair gear
Add some bling to your plain scrunchie by attaching a studded brooch. You could get an insect brooch like a butterfly or a beetle. Jewellery Metal chains are the hottest fashion accessories used on the ramp. When wearing a tube corset, they can be thrown over the shoulder.

A brooch can be attached to a dupatta, in the centre. This will look great when you don't intend to wear neck accessories. Get a long beaded chain and wear it on your wrist like a bracelet.
