Always wanted long, luscious eyelashes but can’t bother with extensions? According to online sources your prayers may be answered soon. Botox maker, Allergan, Inc. is awaiting the Federal Drug Administration’s approval of a product that will enable eyelashes to grow thicker, longer and darker.
Like Botox, which started out as a drug to treat muscle spasms, this new eyelash enhancer was discovered through the use of a drug to treat glaucoma. It was found that the eye drug, Lumigan enhances the growth of eyelashes. The magic ingredient is bimatoprost. According to Allergan, when applied to the ‘base of eyelashes significant growth was observed in clinical trials.’
