Sharon Stone Boycott Begins – Maybe! PDF Print E-mail
Numerous reports online indicate that actress, Sharon Stone is being blacklisted in China following her comments concerning the recent earthquake in that country. According to reports, the 50-year old Stone said that the May 12 earthquake which killed over 60,000 was a result of karma. Stone reportedly said in an interview in Cannes, “And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma – when you’re not nice …bad things happen to you?”

As a result of these statements, online sources claim that Christian Dior boutiques in China have removed Stone’s images from all their advertisements, including those for cosmetics.

 

Chinese organizations and citizens are also calling for a boycott of Stone’s movies in the country.
