For winters, regular skin care and cosmetics products are necessary for heavy makeover. In the winter season, everybody wants to polish properly and look very glamorous. One can use smoky shades for eye makeup, matte understated shades like chocolate, coffee and for lips use berry tones during wear winter makeup. For women, velvet shades are the best for winter makeup.
Makeup Tips - Shimmer For Winter Shimmer makeup has been around for ages. While the version decades ago was the sort a teenager experimenting with makeup might use. I had a shimmer eyeshadow palette in my teenage days. The eyeshadow just didn’t last. I had to apply a lot to see the color and even then, it faded away hours after application. The other kind looked really tacky. Looking at the photos of the models for Chanel, and for a number of other haute couture shows, I wondered how they achieved that effect. The models seemed to be lit with some silvery light. As if fairy dust had been dusted on their faces. It looked wonderful with the black on black outfits paraded on the runway. In a sense, fairy dust was applied on the models in the form of shimmer powder. In short, that ethereal look is achieved with the addition of shimmer powder dusted lightly over the entire face. You can get a softer, radiant effect by dusting shimmer powder where light hits your face. The tops of the cheeks, forehead, tip of the chin and tip of the nose, places where sunlight normally hits, could use a touch of shimmer powder for that ethereal radiance. For the eyes try a gentle shimmer for day. Metallic eye shadows in lighter shades work well if worn with a light hand. Slick on some mascara and your eyes are done. For night, slick on a shimmery eye liner in a deep or bright color. Use a strong eyeliner and line the upper lash line, thickening the line and winging out at the outer edge of each eye for a dramatic finish. The egyptian eye is in, so use a thick line over upper lashline of the outer half of each eye for that cat eye effect. Perk Up Pale Cheeks To brighten a winter washed-out face, bring back your bronzer. The reddish brown tones help counteract the ruddiness brought on by colder air. However, don’t go more than two shades darker than your skin tone or you’ll look muddy. Using a large blush brush, tap areas of your face that naturally pick up color from the sun: your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. For a greater glow, add a touch of pink blush to the tops of your cheekbones. Because your lips lack oil glands, they dry out easily. Add in abuse from bad weather, and your skin begins to flake, making lipstick look blotchy. For luscious lips, first remove dead skin by applying a lip balm and gently exfoliating with a damp washcloth. Then use cream lipsticks; they’re moister than matte formulas. And steer clear of ultradark shades, which age you because they absorb rather than reflect light. A bit of sheen on eyes can be used too for a change, if you are using nude shades; while on lips, it can help your lips to look more voluptuous. If you want to sport long eyelashes, you may try fake individual eyelashes that can be applied using tweezers. During winter season use black mascaras after using eyeliner. One can use shades of Aubergine for mascaras. One can also use waterproof mascaras in dark brown shade. For winter makeup, women should use tinted powder with little shimmer. In winters, always use tinted lip balms in blackberry, red currant tones and blackberry. For winters, use small quantity of skin-priming moisturizers on the face and neck. Do not forget to apply the waterproof moisturizers behind the ears. Use of night cream will be heavy during winter season. Makeup Tips for the Fall and Winter Season Instead of keeping up with the soft, sporty, sun-kissed look of the summer, one makeup tip is to begin using more bold colors in your makeup regime to take you into the fall season, said Barbara Harrington, a Hockessin resident and distributor for SeneGence International®. Bold lip and eye colors are perfect for fall seasonal events and holiday parties. And vibrant make-up will offset the darker, heavier clothing often found in your fall/winter wardrobe. So, be fearless with color, but be careful not to go overboard” cautions Harrington as her next makeup tip.
