| Understanding Bronzer |

Bronzer can make you look like a sun kissed goddess or it can make you look like a bronze statute gone wrong. This popular makeup product has become a must-have item for teens and women everywhere but unfortunately, not many are educated enough about how to use this simple product for enhancing a golden look. Instead they often look like they’re swimming in it.
The first thing you must understand about bronzer is that it is meant to complement your makeup, not overwhelm it. Bronzer should never be used like foundation or even powder. When it comes to this makeup product, less is always more. When you apply bronzer the proper way, not only do you get a naturally sun touched complexion, you enjoy other benefits as well, such as brightening the eyes, making freckles look sexy, creating the illusion of a more saturated lip color and can even make your teeth look whiter. But if you continue to misuse bronzer, you’ll be out of luck this summer. If you want to apply bronzer like a pro, it will take practice. Not only do you have to know where to apply the bronzer, you’ll also have to make sure you choose the right makeup colors, color combinations and the transparency of the colors you want to use. When it comes to getting your face ready, this summer skip foundation altogether. Your sun kissed look should be as natural as you can get it. In most cases, foundation tends to make complexions look overdone, especially when you apply bronzer to it (not to mention with the sun out, your skin won’t be happy with layers of unnecessary makeup). Instead, turn to tinted moisturizer or a sunless tanner to create an overall even complexion. Choose a tinted moisturizer or sunless tanner that is just a touch deeper than your natural skin tone but make sure that it still complements your complexion. Apply concealer as needed. Once your complexion is ready to go, you can finish it off with your bronzer. Remember to avoid having a heavy hand when applying your bronzer. The point is to enhance what you’ve already done. The idea is to put bronzer on the areas of the face where the sun naturally touches it. This includes the forehead, nose, and cheeks. Dip your powder brush into your bronzer and tap off excess color. Gently sweep the color across the key areas. Also include your neck, chest and your shoulders if you’re wearing a tube top or a blouse with thin straps. The one thing you want to avoid is telltale spots and streaks where you’ve applied your bronzer. The color should blend effortlessly into your complexion. You never want to see where the starting and stopping points of your bronzer are.
