It is important to realize that cosmetics do not last forever. They have due dates, and once their time is up, you have to throw them away!

Your Make-Up Tools that demand right care:
A large wide-edged powder brush  Foundation
Contour brushes fro blush-on Concealer
Sponge tipped applicators  Face powder (loose)
Fine lip brush  Pressed powder
Sponge Eye pencils
Eye brow brush  Eye shadow
Powder puff  Mascara
Cotton wool  Blush-on
Eye brow tweezers  Lip pencils
Eye shadow brushes  Lipstick

Some useful tips on make-up care:
Whoever said that cosmetics should be stacked on the dressing table or in bathroom cabinets? Like other durable commodities, make-up accessories too have their own shelf life and must be protected and stocked carefully in hygienic containers/surrounding for future use.

1) Keep your make-up brushes and sponges clean by washing them in warm soapy water once in about ten days. Rinse them thoroughly with plain water afterwards.

2) It is a good idea to keep your cosmetics in a box that has compartments fro different items. Put them in a place where things will be easy to find and your cosmetics will be protected from dust.

3) Use a clean blusher brush to blend, instead of the brush that you use fro applying.

Makeup Tips and Tricks
The sheerest lip stain: Apply a clear lip balm. Then, with lips together, twirl a spot of dark, creamy-textured lipstick in the center of each lip (using a lip brush or the lip color itself ) until you have a dark stain. Blot lips together so the color blends into the lip balm.
Soft finish for a penciled mouth: After lining lips and filling in with pencil, run a dry lip brush around the edge to soften the line. You'll be still have definition, but it will be less sharp, more natural looking.
Moisturizing first during your makeup routine will help any foundation and/or concealer blend easier.
Apply moisturizer downwards--this is the direction the tiny hairs on your face are facing, so this gives a more smooth look.
Mixing foundation and moisturizer can make a good tinted moisturizer.
If you're wearing foundation and/or concealer, make sure to cover it with powder, or all your makeup will soon disappear.
Try to wear as little makeup as possible while exercising, because the sweat can get trapped in your pores, leading to breakouts.
Apply blush upwards and outwards on the apples of your cheeks, towards the hairline.
Bleed-proof lip gloss: For a cheer shiny look that's less likely to bleed, dot concealer around your mouth (at the outer border of the lip line) and blend with a fingertip. Then apply your gloss; the concealer will act as a barrier, that keeps color from migrating.
The perfect pale mouth: Line lips with a pale-blue eyeliner pencil; blend color inward with a fingertip. Then brush a shimmery pink lipstick over your entire mouth. The blue edges soften the color, creating a striking, ice-kissed look.
