Hair conditioning is one of the important ways by which we can protect the hair, make it smooth and easier to manage.

Commonly used homemade conditioners include mayonnaise, eggs and avocadoes, but I'd rather make a salad. Probably the best overall conditioner is a clear henna, which strengthens hair by smoothing the hair cuticle.

If you want your hair to look smoother and glossier, you can make your own conditioner by combining a small amount of essential rosemary oil with a carrier oil such as sweet almond or olive oil. Add a few drops of rosemary oil to a couple of tablespoons of carrier oil, warm slightly, and rub onto your damp scalp. Wrap in a towel and let rest for 45 minutes before rinsing out.
