SPOIL YOUR FEET - Anti Aging Tips for the Feet |

The average person takes 8,000 to 10,000 steps a day. That adds up to roughly 4 miles a day. Our feet are one of the hardest working parts of our body, but often time the most neglected. Many of us just take our feet for granted. So, what can we do for our tired, aching feet?
Anti aging tips and advice for healthy feet and common foot ailments: - Wear Comfortable Shoes - Avoid tight shoes or wearing high heels for long periods of time,
- Athletes Foot - Soak your feet in a basin of warm water containing a few cloves of crushed garlic. Add 2 tablespoons of alcohol and soak feet for 10 minutes. Dry thoroughly. Repeat twice daily for up to a week.
- Cracked Heels - Soak your feet in a basin of warm water with the juice of half a lemon for 10 minutes. Follow up by using a pumice stone to remove dead skin. May do lemon soak every day until condition clears up. Then, before bed, slather your feet with vegetable shortening or petroleum jelly and cover with clean white cotton socks. Wear overnight.
- Stinky Feet - Soak your feet in a basin of a 50/50 mixture of warm water and white or apple cider vinegar for 20-30 minutes. Or, steep 4 tea bags in a basin of 1 quart hot water. Put in enough cold water so the water is still quite warm, but not enough to scald or burn. Soak feet for 20-30 minutes. Both remedies can be done daily.
- Exfoliate - Take 2 tablespoons of olive oil or almond aromatherapy essential oil and 1 teaspoon of either epsom salt or sea salt and scrub feet vigorously to exfoliate dead skin. Leave paste on feet for 10-15 minutes and rinse. You should exfoliate 1-2 times a week and use a loofa or pumice stone every day on dry skin and hard calluses.
- Moisturize - To refresh and moisturize tired feet, start by filling a basin with very warm water and a few drops of an uplifting aromatherapy essential oil such as peppermint or eucalyptus. Soak feet for 10 minutes, pat dry and massage feet with foot cream. Use foot cream daily.
- Massage - Because our feet contain so many pressure points, a good foot massage is not only one of the most pleasurable experiences in the world, it's great for reducing stress and inducing relaxation. Reflexology is a specific massage technique of the feet. According to Reflexologists - illness, stress, and fatigue can be healed through reflexology which in turn improves blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, strengthening the immune system.
- Treat yourself to a Pedicure - Pampering your feet with a pedicure not only feels incredible, is very relaxing and therapeutic, but is a great way to keep your feet healthy and looking good!
