Tips for Taking off Your Make-UpIt might be the last thing you want to do before you go to bed, but removing your make up is essential for maintaining a good complexion. Not only is cleaning your face and taking off your make up the cornerstone of beautiful healthy skin, it is also important for your well being. It need not take a lot of time, and you can quickly establish a routine. Your rewards will be a healthy gorgeous you.

A quick wipe with a wash cloth just doesn’t do the trick. Pores can become clogged, and the ensuing result can be acne. Not removing all of your eye make up can be the cause of eye infections. Besides, going to bed with a fresh clean face just feels really good.

The following tips will help you with this nightly ritual:

·    Pull your hair away from your face.

·    Using water and water soluble cleanser gently wash the eye make up off. Try not to pull on this gentle area. Excessive pulling can cause the skin to sag.

·    If you are using waterproof mascara, you might want to use a wipe-off make up remover.

·   Choose a skin cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type. There are numerous products on the

market which are especially made for dry, normal, or oily skin.

·    If you use heavy foundations, you may want to use a wash cloth to clean your skin. For delicate skin, avoid using a cloth as it might be too harsh. If you are not using a cloth, use your fingers to gently spread the cleanser around your face.

·    Use tepid water. Water that is too hot or too cold can be irritating to the skin.

·    Rinse the cleanser thoroughly. You don’t want to leave behind a soapy residue.

·    Pat dry with a soft towel. Follow with a moisturizing night cream if that is part of your beauty routine. Most cosmetic companies manufacture anti-aging or anti-wrinkle creams which are readily available.

Remember, it isn’t how hard you wash, but how thorough you are. Your skin doesn’t have to tingle or hurt in order to be clean. Treat your face carefully if you want to maintain your youthful appearance. Keep in mind that “scrubbing your skin” won’t get you into bed that much faster. Be gentle and your skin will thank you in the morning!
