In the middle of a sweltering July day the last thing you want to worry about is your foundation sliding or mascara melting. But thanks to the sun-kissed glow that only happens in summer, women can get away with less makeup and perfect a “five minute face”. A simple, pared down routine includes using:
Tinted Moisturizer with SPFA light, easy way to do triple duty of moisturizing, protecting skin from UV rays and evening out skintone. ConcealerStill necessary to cover up dark circles, blemishes or spoltches.
Loose PowderIdeal for summer use since it contains fewer oils. Apply with a clean powder brush and bring extra in a small plastic container when needed for touch-ups. Or carry a packet of oil blotting papers.
Brow PowderEnhancing the brows is a quick way to achieve a pulled together look. Using a pressed powder formula is lighter than using a pencil.
Eye ShadowUse a pressed powder in a taupe, light brown, peach or pink and sweep from lid to browbone.
Waterproof Mascara Choose a brown or brownish black instead of black to achieve the most natural look. If eyes are sensitive, use clear mascara.
Blush and BronzerDust a pink, peach or light coral blush on the apples of cheeks and blend toward the hairline. Apply bronzer on the parts where the sun would normally reach, such as the tops of cheekbones, temples and down the center of the nose.
Lip Color Skip lip liner and creamy, matte lipsticks and choose a moisturizing gloss in a sheer pink, peach or bronze shade.
To create an even lighter and quicker look, choose only the concealer, loose powder, mascara, bronzer and lip color.
