Role Play with your ChildrenFrom a cursory glance, the makeup business appears to be marketing towards young women and full fledged adults with an endless barrage of consumer ads, glossy magazine covers, and outrageous promotions. Beneath the surface is an ever-growing trend of marketing towards children, particularly when it comes to makeup cosmetic products. Little girls often fantasize about the later years, donning on high heels early to prepare for a fluffy tomorrow. They take their influence from mama’s cosmetics drawer, loaded with eye liner, lip gloss, shimmer, lipstick, hair gels, and any similar object that meets their fancy.

The very definition of role play cosmetics comes from the many miniature sets of tools that include lip glosses, nail polish, as well as other cosmetics. If you want to introduce your young daughter to the world of makeup, consider buying her a plastic glam case.   Glam cases often come with varying themes, from the all-too-popular Barbie to independent themes that emphasize the “big girl.” However, many of these kits can cause allergies or breakout due to their poor quality. Be careful to choose quality makeup for your daughter to begin using. Buying a glam case in a department stores nearly always guarantees that its of good quality.

Typically, girls aged 13 start wearing makeup in a general sense. Teaching your daughter to use makeup in a way that accentuates her features but leaves her face looking natural should be her first makeup lesson. It`s not always a question of age but more a question of how much. At 13 you can introduce her to lip glosses and blushers, at 14 or 15 to mascara and natural color eye shadow. Try to leave the eyeliners and lipsticks that make teens appear much older till she`s turned 16.

Be sure to provide your young daughters with makeup bags to store their items as well. Makeup bag shapes are not limited to purse shaped bags. Nowadays, makeup bags can be shaped like stockings and question marks. Gift boxes are another excellent gift for your child. Ziploc pouches have also been a fixture on the young women’s cosmetic scene for years. As you can see, there are countless ways in which to store your items.

Recognize that children in elementary school see makeup as a play time and not a serious endeavor. Thus, approaching your daughter at aged 13, will allow both you and her to have a serious makeup lesson that will no doubt change her view on makeup indefinitely.

Role playing makes for a sweet bonding experience and can immerse your child into the life of an adult. Most importantly, a bond between mother and child can be solidified. Check out the infinite amount of cosmetic kits available and pick the one to put a smile on the face of your child.
