Eye Brows and Forehead Rejuvenation

Your eyebrows and forehead may express your mood and personality traits.

For example, a person with low positioned or heavy eyebrows
may be perceived as tired or angry. Yet elevated eyebrows in women and men result in more refreshed and relaxed look. Restoration of the brow arch as well as brow elevation in women and many men improves the youthful appearance of the face. Reducing the appearance of the frown lines and forehead lines further contributes to the refreshed and smooth look of the face.

Brows can be elevated and frown/forehead lines can be softened using a brow lift or Botox ®. Botox ® is very effective at reducing the appearance of the frown lines, forehead lines, and lines around the side of the eyes (crow’s feet). This procedure is performed in the office and takes approximately 5-10 minutes.


During a brow lift, eye brows are elevated. Frown and forehead lines are softened surgically. This procedure is performed in the operating room and takes about 1.5 hours. Our patients go home the same day. A brow lift can be performed endoscopically through small incisions or using an open technique where the incision is hidden within hair or just in front of the hair line. The choice of the endoscopic brow lift or open brow lift will depend of your preference and forehead anatomy. We will discuss the details of all options for forehead rejuvenation and anticipate outcomes during your appointment.


   We use local anesthesia, sedation, or general anesthesia depending on your preference and medical condition. The choice and detail of each type of anesthesia will be discussed with you during your appointment.


After a brow lift, most swelling will resolve within 10-14 days. It sometimes takes up to a few months for all swelling to go away. Many patients return to work within 7-10 days after a brow lift.
