Purse Make-UpEvery woman knows that a lady on the go must have the essentials in her purse. When your skin and overall appearance are battling conditions like fierce wind, make-up ruining rain, and the baking sun, it can be hard to know what to carry when you need to look your best. If you remember to jam these 4 small items into your bag, you will be able to look fresh no matter what the circumstance.

#1: Lip Balm

A clear oily moisturizer, lip balm acts as a quick fix to wild eyebrows, and can be used on your finger at the base of your lashes to give them a boost that can withstand water and easier to apply than mascara. It can be used as an in the car banisher of dry, flaky elbows and can even tame those fly-away hairs. Lip balm is the perfect lotion substitute when you cannot fit even a hand lotion in your bag. Use a little at the base of your cuticle if your nails look dry and cracked, and rub some on the surface with your finger for a 5 second nail buff. A tinted variety can put a colorful shine on eyelids. Try to choose a lip balm that uses natural oil as opposed to synthetic chemicals or petroleum.

#2: Nail File

Nothing makes your hands look worse than one nail that just broke off into a jagged edge, and you have nothing to fix it! If you pack the metal kind with the pointed tip, you can remove dirt and grime from under your nails that you might not notice until you are in the car on your way to your important date. These are also perfect for separating eyelashes when they get clumped together from mascara.

#3: Eyelash Curler

This may not seem like an obvious choice, but once you start to carry one, you will never want to leave home without it. This sleek little curler will wake up your eyes in a hurry, and if you already applied mascara before leaving the house, you will never have to freshen it and worry about clumping if you simply take this tool along and give it a periodic squeeze when popping into the restroom.

#4: Clear Nail Polish

This little bottle can make any nail look just a little better, and can help salvage a manicure if applied in time even if you break one while you are out and about.   Even if you are not keen on wearing it on your nails, clear polish can come in handy for a variety of circumstances. It works for the classic run in the hose, but can also be used as temporary glue for a variety of wardrobe malfunctions, like hemlines that are coming unraveled, and beadwork that is falling off. Do not forget, it is always good to have a little glue.
