Ideas for Bridal Hairstyles & Updos PDF Print E-mail

For your wedding day you'll want to look beautiful, elegant and simply perfect.

Try and avoid creating a whole, new look for your special day - instead, opt for a new version of your current style.

Start off by browsing through a few magazines to get some ideas of what sort of wedding updo hairstyles you'd like, maybe cut a few out as keepsakes and even create your own "album" of ideas !

Ideas for Short Bridal Hairstyles

The key to looking stunning with shorter hair is a cut by a great stylist.  It's worth investing in your hair for this one occasion when you'll be looking at the photos for years to come.

For a softer look, you may want to try out a few curls - creating a romantic, yet classic, look for your special day.

If you're set on having an updo, a good stylist may be able to create faux one using a hairpiece.  Again, don't try this out for the first time on the day itself, but plan and try it out several weeks beforehand, you don't want those wedding photos coming back to haunt you!

Long Styles

WIth longer hair, it's possible to create some beautiful curls, more formal styles, in fact, just about any of the looks you've seen in the bridal magazines!

For 2007, the fashion tip is to go with big, soft curls, so you might like to try a slightly less formal look.  However, this is YOUR big day, so choose a style that you're comfortable with.

Do make sure that you try out your "look" at least a week before the big day - this'll give you plenty of time if you need to change anything.

Creative Use of Hair Accessories

Whether it's combs, barrettes, pins or clips - a few accessories can help add that certain class to your style.  Many brides walk down the aisle wearing a tiara, ornaments or hair jewelry underneath their veil.

Whether you normally wear accessories in your hair or not, you'll probably want to consider wearing something special.

Again, check it out with your salon or stylist or a good friend who'll be honest about what'll look great on you.
