Natural Rinses for Every Hair TypeIf it is true that our hair is our crowning glory, then we most certainly want it to look its absolute best, right? But what can you do for your tresses to give them a head’s up (so to speak)? One solution might be to use a hair rinse that will ensure that residues like shampoos and conditioners are rinsed cleanly out completely, and give an extra shine boost to that luxurious mane. And while you can find commercial hair rinses that will perform just about any task under the sun, you can also make your own simply by raiding your refrigerator and pantry for the right ingredients. To know which ingredients will work best on your hair, you can hunt for recipes by your particular hair color and type. You are guaranteed to find plenty of choices on the Internet, in books or by talking to your stylist about the type of rinses that will work best for you.

Blondes that Glow

Lemon juice is generally what we think of when blonde hair rinses come to mind, and it is certainly a good choice to use in keeping your golden locks looking like a million bucks. For best results, use the juice that has been freshly squeezed, mixed with warm water. However, there are other equally great ingredients that can lighten and brighten, including chamomile and calendula or marigold. You can brew the chamomile into a tea and even mix it with a portion of lemon juice for maximum shine.

Brunettes that Shine

If you’ve been blessed with the darker tresses, you should know that your brunette mane has maximum shine potential. That’s because brunette hair catches and reflects the light more effectively than other hair colors can. Still, with the right rinse, you can make those beautiful brown locks shine even brighter. For brunettes, the best hair rinse ingredient is rosemary, first and foremost. Rosemary rinses will enhance your color as well as your shine, but you can also opt for a rinse made of black tea or brewed coffee.

Redheads that Dazzle

Redheads have not been forgotten in the rinse department (and when was a beautiful mane of red tresses ever forgettable?). There are some great ingredients to add shine to your hair color as well, including rosehips, hibiscus and saffron. Just like your brunette buddies, you can use black coffee rinses as well, and get in the game with the blondes of the bunch by whipping up a rinse using calendula. Red hair with a brilliant shine is a head-turner indeed.

To give a boost to your do, try a natural hair rinse that you can make at home. Your tresses are guaranteed to get attention. Shine is in.
