A number of common hair transplant procedures are available for women today, so they can get back any lost hair. Hair transplant procedures in women are surgical methods just like they are carried out in for men. Hair restoration procedures are aimed at getting back any lost hair due to genetics, disease or just any other reason, such as hormonal changes or abnormalities in women. An unhealthy diet or taking a lot of tension and stress can also lead to loss of hair or thinning of hair in women.
Just like in men, a full medical check is carried out for women who have to undergo surgery. Similarly, the reason for hair loss or thinning is also identified to find the exact cause of hair loss so proper treatment can be carried out. Once the diagnosis has been made, hair restoration procedures can be initiated, including hair transplant surgery as needed. Here is a list of some of the most common hair transplant procedures in women: Follicular Unit Grafting – This is the most common and sophisticated technique of hair transplantation in women. It involves microscopic procedures which are used to dissect individual grafts to transplant thousands of them in one single procedure. Follicular Unit grafting gives the most natural results and hair grows back in its natural state. Hair transplanted through this method gives the most aesthetic results and continue to grow for a lifetime. Reparative Hair Transplant – This is another common procedure for hair restoration in women as well as in men. Patients who are not satisfied with their old hair transplant surgery go for reparative transplantation to revise an old or improper transplant procedure. Usually, if improper or old grafting techniques are used in an old transplant procedure, a professional and experienced hair transplant procedure can get rid of the messy results and restore the naturalness which should have been obtained. Reparative hair transplant procedures include scar revision, revision of micro and minigrafting as well as removal of some or all of the old hair grafts. Hair transplants reparative procedures also include scalp reductions and laser skin resurfacing. Repair of Scarring – Women may suffer from scarring or a reduction of the front and sides of the hairline. This could be natural or due to surgical procedures such as facelifts, which cause scars behind or above the ears, or even across the top of the scalp. Hair scarring can be treated by advanced follicular unit grafting procedures to being back the natural look. Hairline Advancement – Women may inherit an unaesthetic hairline or develop one due to a receding hairline. Browlifting procedures or similar surgeries can also cause scarring of the frontal hairline. In these cases, hairline advancement helps to bring back any lost hair to give a fully natural look. Just like a normal hair transplant, thousands of individual grafts are transplanted towards the front of the hairline through follicular unit hair grafting, and placed in a manner so the transplanted hair follow a natural hair growth pattern, lowering an overly high hairline. Hair line advancement or lowering procedures can not only shorten a high head but can also be used to change the shape of the hairline, to make it more oval or round. Restoration of Eyebrows and Eyelashes – Women who have very thin lashes or brows can restore them through eyebrow and eyelash transplantation. Although these restorative methods are extremely sensitive and difficult, they are being carried out successfully and give drastic results. Women may suffer from loss of hair from the eyebrow region due to compulsive plucking, laser hair removal or due to any disease or medication such as chemotherapy after cancer. In such cases, the lost hair can be restored in the brow and lash region in a single procedure using single hair microscopic hair grafts. Women may also decide to go for unique hair transplant procedures such as pubic hair restoration. Although most women prefer minimal amount of pubic hair, some women may need to restore some or all of their pubic hair which they could have lost due to harsh chemotherapy, waxing or electrolysis. No matter what ever area of the body you want to get hair restored on, it is always good to research well and choose a professional hair transplant surgeon. Look for solid references and several years of experience in a hair transplant surgeon before you decide to go for hair transplant in Pakistan
